In Math, the students have been measuring objects around the room with a tens stick (a stick made up of ten connecting cubes) and deciding if the items are shorter or longer than their tens stick. Today, we measured each other and compared our height from tallest to shortest as well as counting backwards and counting by tens all the way to 100.
Please send in the permission slip and money for our field trip to the zoo as soon as possible. If you can chaperone, we would love to have you! Friday is the deadline to send in cash and the permission slip. The zoo is providing us with pumpkins to carve for their "Spook Tacular" event, so on Monday, we will be carving pumpkins!!!
Next Friday, the 21st, is going to be our Fall Party! The kids are very excited about their first party of the year and we welcome all parents and family who are available to join in our festivities. Our party will begin around 1:45 and last approximately 30-45 minutes. Our wonderful homeroom mom has planned some fun snacks, games, and other activities. I know she and I would also appreciate any volunteers and extra hands during the party. We hope to see you there!
Just reminder: this Friday we will be dismissing at 12:30! If your child will be getting home a different way than usual, please send a short note in their folder letting me know where they are to go on the early release (Tiger Tales, Car Pick Up, etc)
