Next week will be Read Across America Week in Celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday. Our Librarian, Mrs. Mann, has planned a variety of activities for next week. We will be reading lots of Dr. Seuss books and writing our opinions with supporting details about the books we read. We will also be making a Cat in the Hat and designing a new hat for Cat. In Math, we will start Topic 9, Numbers to 20. In this topic, students will have to identify numbers 11-20, count large groups of objects and write the number, draw groups of objects equal to numbers 11-20, and count forward from any given number to 20..
Our class filled up our Tiger Token Chart this week! Tiger Tokens are given to them by other teachers for showing awesome leadership skills. To fill up a chart, we have to earn 100 Tiger Tokens and we finally did it! To celebrate, the class voted to have a PAJAMA DAY. We will have our Pajama Day this coming Monday, February 26th. Since this is a special celebration, the kids can bring in their favorite stuffed animal too! Make sure to tell your kiddo how proud you are of their hard work!
