Next week is our last week before Christmas Break! We will be having our Winter Party on Friday the 21st from 8:45-9:20. Parents and family are welcome to join us! Friday will also be pajama day!!! So send your kiddos in their jammies for a fun, exciting, and re It's so hard to believe that Christmas is right around the corner. The next 8 1/2 days are jam packed with holiday events and activities! We will be writing letters to Santa, making ornaments, and distinguishing needs from wants. In math we are working on describe, recognizing, and naming 3D shapes. On Wednesday, we will be having a Writers Celebration and share a piece of published work! The student's have been working so diligently on their writing the last three weeks and we are all very excited to celebrate!
Due to second quarter assessments, this week I will only be meeting with guided reading groups ONE time. They will receive a new book today or tomorrow. Please check their guided reading folder later in the week for a writing assignment that will be completed in their Reading Response Journals. This week the students are asked to donate items to help families in need this holiday season. The class that brings in the most items in each grade level will receive a popcorn party. Here are the days and items: Tuesday- canned foods, Wednesday- body soap, Thursday- laundry products, and Friday- diapers. Wednesday will be our Super Tiger Assembly and it will begin at 2:15. |
