Hello everyone! It was so wonderful to see all the students and their bright smiling faces this morning. After a nice long break, I think we are all refreshed and ready to start 3rd quarter! Can you believe how fast the year is going? I can't!
This week and next we our theme will be Winter. During our theme time we will be comparing and contrasting different winter stories like The Hat and The Mitten by Jan Brett. We will also be making some winter books of our own! In Writing we, will begin a unit on writing personal narratives. I will also begin writing conferences during Writers Workshop to provide each student with individualized and personalized guidance to help them become an even better writer! In Math, we are focusing on counting, quantity, and developing strategies for accurately counting a set of objects. We will also be working with addition facts during Calendar and Rocket Math. I am so pleased with the progress all of the student's are making in Guided Reading. Please continue to read with your child at home. Thank you so much for your support!
