Next week we will continue our weather unit. We will be reading books such as It Looked Like Spilt Milk and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and doing several fun writing activities with those books as well!
In writing, we will be working on writing the sounds we hear and bring together pictures and words as well as using the book The Wind Blew to work on word choice.
In math, we are counting and keeping track of quantities, working with one-to-one and two-to-one, correspondence, and counting by groups of two. I sent a "homework" assignment home with the students to do over the weekend. They are to draw how many eyes are in their house. I provided the index cards based on the number of people the students told me were living in their house. Please send these back to school with your students on Monday so we can count how many eyes the students have at home.
We had an awesome turn out at McTeacher Night, but we were 1%, yes 1%, away from winning the Happy Meal party. We had 76% attendence that night and I was so happy to see you all there! Thanks for coming and supporting our school!
Have a wonderful weekend!
